The DePaulia will host and live-stream debates this Thursday and Friday between the candidates running for Student Government Association positions.
The first debate will be Thursday, May 14 at around 8:20 p.m. and will feature presidential candidates Vanessa Cadavillo and Luke Kula. On Friday, debates will begin at 10:30 a.m. with candidates for Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Kristina Pouliot and Tyler Solorio, followed by EVP for Student Affairs candidates Cara Anderson and Patrick Pfohl at 11:10 a.m.
At about 11:45 a.m. Friday, Treasurer candidates Joseph Kerins and Damian Wille will speak, and finally, candidates for EVP for Operations candidates Adriana Kemper and Lindsey Salters will discuss at 12:40 p.m.
While not open to the public, the forums will be live-streamed via YouTube for the DePaul community to watch. In addition, answers to questionnaires from all the candidates will be featured on our website.
While members of the DePaulia Editorial Board will be asking questions, we also want to hear from students. If you have questions you want answered in any of the debates, let us know by using the hashtag #dpuelect and tagging @TheDePaulia, or emailing us at [email protected].
We encourage everyone to use that hashtag during the debates, as well. A link to the livestream will be posted Thursday, and all sessions will be available for viewing afterward.
