Venue spotlight: Township

If you’re a Logan Squarian who likes light bites and loud live jams, you’re probably been to Pancho’s, the half-bar, half-diner almost directly underneath the California Blue Line stop. But if you’ve been around those parts in the past year or so, you’d have seen a new sing out front. After a little facelift, the former Pancho’s space is now Township.

The space still functions the same as Pancho’s, but the decor got a minor tweaking.  It’s a little, dare I say, hipster-y, with tiny little tables and huge abstract art. The music space is a long, narrow bar with a stage in the back connected to an equally narrow little diner. Some good, abrasive, too-loud guitars and screaming frontman topped off with a muffin and a latte after the set? Don’t mind if we do.
