DEPAUL ALUM AWARDED FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP
The Fulbright International Education Exchange Program has awarded DePaul alum Hannah Hoover a scholarship after her research and health outreach in Haiti.
Hoover, a 2011 Masters in Public Health graduate, was a volunteer English teacher in Haiti and later became a coordinator for a Haitian HIV/AIDS service. The Fulbright Public Policy scholar also researched ways to improve trauma-informed care among community health workers, according to a statement from Fulbright. With her fellowship, Hoover will lay the groundwork for a new health infrastructure in Haiti, the statement said.
