Electronica edition: David Guetta

Electro music is all around the globe. There are many great artists, such as Wolfgang Gartner, Moguai and Zedd, who have created tracks to elevate your body and senses. However, only one artist was able to connect the two opposing genres: electro and rap. This week’s featured artist is none other than David Guetta. The French producer is known to make tracks featuring great rappers, like Akon, Usher and Snoop Dogg. Guetta’s career has skyrocketed over the past few years, when he placed third in 2009, and second in 2010’s DJ Mag awards ranking the world’s top 100 DJs. Nonetheless, he continues to innovate all the time.

The track I would like to showcase comes from his new album, “Nothing But the Beat”, which he first released in the US at North Coast Music Festival in Chicago. “Lunar” is his collaboration with Afrojack, and the tune is banging! The song has no lyrics. Instead, it has Guetta’s signature bass with Afrojack’s synths. This tune made everyone crazy at North Coast, and it was stuck in my head for days. This is by far the best track in the album!

Don’t forget the drop—
