The third best 3-point shooter (by field goal percentage) in the conference was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll today.

DePaul junior guard Ashton Millender earned the designation after averaging 19 points for the Blue Demons last week. She shot 8-for-14 (57.1 percent) from beyond the 3-point arc in two games, and 14-for-24 overall (58.3 percent) from the field.

Millender helped the Blue Demons bounce back on Sunday with a 71-66 win over Villanova at McGrath-Phillips Arena after the Georgetown Hoyas upset the Blue Demons 86-85 on Friday evening.

This season, Millender is second on the team in scoring (13.1 points per game), second in 3-point field goal percentage (41.1 percent), and second in overall field goal percentage (48 percent) among players that have played at least 10 games. Her 79 made 3-point field goals this season is the most by a Blue Demon by a significant margin.

The Blue Demons are tied for first place in the Big East Conference with Marquette and will travel to Queens, N.Y. on Friday for a 6 p.m. showdown with St. John’s.
