DePaul’s Advocates For Sexual Assault Prevention (ASAP) group is a safe space for survivors and allies to come together and share strategies for preventing sexual assault on campus and beyond. Through organizing events and collaborating with other counseling and prevention groups throughout Chicago, ASAP is paving the way for a much needed shift in conversation regarding the impacts and stigma of sexual assault. Some recent group discussion topics have included protesting the new changes to Title IX, analyzing the effect of bystander influence, and rethinking the rhetoric we use when consoling survivors. Meetings are lead by co-presidents Brynn Frantz and Grace Gubbrud every Monday from 4:30 to 5:30 in room 101 of Art and Letters Hall.
