Baseball isn’t like other sports. It’s not loud like football and it’s not fast like hockey. It’s quiet. Go to a game and watch people. Those who love baseball and what it does to them are quiet. They’re letting the rhythm of the game change them. Few things in the world can do that to people.

I believe in the Church of Baseball.
