A DePaul junior was killed Tuesday evening when his car struck a pickup truck around 5 p.m. in Christiana, Wis. Jake Kleiman, 20, was in the passenger’s seat when the 20-year-old driver ran a stop sign at Highway 73 while traveling west on Highway PQ, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
“He was honestly just one of those people you could know for five minutes and he instantly made you feel like family,” Jessi Barnes, DePaul junior, said. “He was that guy who made the effort to talk to people who were shy or left out of anything.”
Kleiman was an honors finance student at the Driehaus College of Business who had just finished his sophomore year.
