DePaul will be losing another administration official this coming year as Dean of Students Dr. Art Munin will be leaving for a position at Illinois State University. Munin has been at DePaul for more than 11 years and has been in his current role since 2011. At ISU, he will serve as an assistant vice president in addition to dean of students.
In a memo sent out to university faculty and staff, interim Vice President for Student Affairs Cynthia Summers stated that “I am grateful to Art for all that he has been to DePaul and all that he has accomplished, and will miss him both professionally and personally.”
Over the next several weeks, Munin will work to ensure a smooth transition while the university anticipates a national search to be announced in the coming months.
“I will forever be grateful for my time at this amazing institution, for the relationships I have developed with our faculty, staff, and students, and for the personal fulfillment I felt everyday working alongside a strong community aimed at providing the very best educational experience for students” Munin said.
Munin’s last day at DePaul will be July 25, as he takes reigns at ISU starting in August.
