By now you’ve all probably heard about HBO’s hit show Girls which started its second season earlier last month. The show’s unabashed look at the lives of post-college millennials trying to make it in New York has received as much praise as it has disdain.
But one of the things the makes the show great besides its sharply written dialogue and flawed colorful characters is the show’s soundtrack. Featuring a great mix of indie rock and pop artists including Tegan and Sara and Santigold, the soundtrack perfectly compliments the show almost to a fault.
The soundtrack for season one was recently released by HBO, but at $18 it’s a bit pricey. Lucky for you, the music is part of this week’s Weekend Mix tape. Enjoy!
