The historic Carson Pirie Scott building just blocks away from DePaul’s Loop campus will reopen it’s doors Wednesday, July 25 as CityTarget. The new concept store is a smaller version of typical Targets like the one found outside the Roosevelt University campus at 1154 S. Clark.
Across the street from stores such as Urban Outfitters and Forever 21, the new CityTarget will cater to a younger shopper as well as commuters on the go, to and from work.
While most grocery and drug store products available will be the same as most regular Targets, CityTarget will sell more local, Chicago-related merchandise as well as an upscale private label clothing line.
The two-floor, 54,000 square foot store will also include a Pret-A-Manger instead of the usual Starbucks. ‘Pret’ is a British take-away concept sandwich shop chain with multiple locations throughout the Loop.
