Hi! My name is Elizabeth Schuetz. I am a graduate student and I am the Editor-in-chief.
I wanted to be the Editor-in-Chief because I have loved working as the News Editor and Managing Editor for the past few years and enjoy putting together all our hard work each week to produce an informative yet entertaining newspaper.
When I’m not in school or working on the paper, my hobbies include going to the movies, shopping throughout the city and reading outside (weather permitting!).
On a Saturday night you’ll find me either at the movies or out to dinner.
My favorite thing about DePaul is having two campuses to explore. I love the casual community that is Lincoln Park but also get excited to hop on the “L” to get to class or work downtown amongst all the hustle and bustle that makes up the Loop.
It’s hard to narrow down the best class I’ve taken so far because I’ve taken so many! I loved every Digital Cinema class I’ve taken especially ones focusing on Coming-of-Age film and Blockbuster pictures as well as Mike Conklin’s awesome Feature Writing class.
I love eating popcorn while watching Parks and Recreation.
I’m secretly obsessed with nail polish, donuts and gaudy jewelry.
You can’t take me away from my PUG, Laila.
This summer I’ve been working on my tan and processing loan and reserve requests at the Loop campus library.
I can’t wait for the school year to begin because we get our U-passes back!
