“We prepared well for two days,” Maclin said. “We kind of, we played them once, and we looked at some things they did against us and how they were able to score. So we knew how to prepare for them. … They got some guys that can shoot. Some guys that can’t shoot as well. So we knew who those guys were, and we were able to just get steals and get out and run.”

“We kind of found a matchup that we liked, and we kept exploiting it and kept going to it,” Maclin said. “I was just able to make shots and make layups.”

“Oh, they were great,” Holtmann said. “I mean, I don’t know what else to say about our students. … I’m so happy for our students, because we, they were able to take a couple busloads over here and we were able to find a way to win. I just, they have created a real energy around our school. Our guys obviously played a pretty big role in that, but our students have, I feel like they’re a part of our team, I really do.”

The students who traveled to the game could be heard throughout the game.
