DePaul’s “strategic plan” draft is set to hit the desks of the Board of Trustees for approval and on the fourth page, fourth bullet point was a little something for the basketball team.

In the section devoted to the development of new facilities and infrastructure of the campus, it stated: “Seek opportunities to bring men’s basketball back into the city.”

The point did not go into any more detail about what opportunities DePaul may be seeking for the possible new home of men’s basketball. Since 1980, the team has played the majority of its games at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.

The draft was sent out to students on March 21. The bullet point about men’s basketball was not in previous drafts of the strategic plan for 2018.
