We all know the stories of Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. But what if Red Riding Hood got lost and made her way to the ball with Prince Charming rather than her grandmother’s house? Or if the hungry wolf met up with Cinderella’s evil stepsisters? The result might resemble something like the musical Cinderhood.
Composed entirely by Chicagoan Adam Busch and produced by Linden Christ, this “mixed-up, turned around tale” is touring throughout various schools, churches and other public venues beginning in March.
The show is a witty version of both Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella as one fast-paced, hilarious musical.
Performed by a cast of four, the actors work with one another in an improvisational style to musically deliver and combine these two stories in 45 minutes. Sure to be whirlwind of entertainment for DePaul students and families alike, the show will coming to DePaul’s campus April 21 at 1 p.m.
