The DePaul Blue Demons lost to the Xavier Musketeers 73-80; Xavier was able to pull out of this game with a win. Jorie Allen has officially played her last game as a DePaul Blue Demon — she finished with a double-double (28 points and 12 rebounds).
While DePaul made more shots (29-of-62) than Xavier (25-of-51), Xavier made six more 3-pointers than DePaul, which helped them with the win.
DePaul ends their 2024-25 season with a 13-19 record.

To end off the second quarter, Xavier made a 3-point buzzer beater. DePaul has barely attempted 3-pointers; they have only made one 3-pointer (1-of-4) and Xavier has made six (6-of-15). Jorie Allen currently leads the Blue Demons with 10 points and she’s played the whole game so far; Aizhanique Mayo currently leads Xavier with 13 points.
The Blue Demons have attempted 10 more shots in the second quarter, and they have only made three of them. The Musketeers defense seems to be getting to DePaul; the Blue Demons are just passing the ball around and not making many shots. 2:30 left in the second quarter.
This is the seventh time this season where DePaul has scored 11 points or less in the first quarter. DePaul has nine turnovers so far and they are 4-of-13. Xavier, on the other hand, is 8-of-14 and they have made three 3-pointers.
Xavier is already up to 15 points, while DePaul only has two. The Blue Demons are 1-of-7 (14.3%), while the Musketeers are 6-of-9 (66.7%). 4:43 left in the first quarter.

Today is the first day of the women’s Big East tournament in Uncasville, CT at Mohegan Sun Arena. So far, St. John’s beat Butler 66-50 and Georgetown defeated Providence 58-56.
At 3 p.m. CST (4 p.m. EST), the DePaul Blue Demons face off against the Xavier Musketeers, who are in last place in the Big East standings. The two times DePaul faced off against Xavier this season, DePaul won by five or more points. The Blue Demons are coming into the tournament with an overtime win against St. John’s on March 2. Xavier, on the other hand, is on an 11-game losing streak; the last time they won a game was against Butler on Jan. 18.
