UPDATE: System of a Down, The Prodigy, 88 Fingers Louie and Chef’Special were added to the lineup during an announcement June 23.
System of a Down, No Doubt, Modest Mouse, Faith No More, Iggy Pop and Snoop Dogg will headline Riot Fest in Chicago this year. The festival will take place Sept. 11-13 in Douglas Park.
Other acts announced include Damian Marley, Motorhead, Rancid, Tenacious D, Billy Idol, Ice Cube, Alkaline Trio and Taking Back Sunday.
Riot Fest announced that it would move from Humboldt Park to Douglas Park after a heated debate among residents and fans. Some claimed the festival was disruptive to the neighborhood and damaged the park, while others touted Riot Fest’s charitable work and said it brought tourism to the West Side area.
Three-day passes are on sale now, and general admission costs $129.
