DePaul made the list, bringing hope of a coup that could signal a return to form for the program.
The Blue Demons were among final five schools that Alexander is considering, along with Illinois, Memphis, Kansas and Michigan State, The 6-foot-8 forward from Curie Metro High School in Chicago, who is ranked No. 2 in ESPN’s top 100 for the 2014 recruiting class, took his official visit to DePaul in August.
Alexander told ESPN Chicago in September that he liked DePaul because he liked the direction the program was headed, and is interested in playing in his home state.
He also mentioned a positive connection with head coach Oliver Purnell and his relationship with current Blue Demons Billy Garrett Jr. and Tommy Hamilton, who are both from Chicago.
Alexander tweeted that he’ll make his decision on Nov. 16, the day of his 18th birthday.
