Heartbreaking and impactful, “The Voice of Hind Rajab” is about a 6 year-old Palestinian girl, Hind, who is trapped in a car with her dead relatives. Told through her real life calls to the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the employees at the Red Crescent do everything they can to save the girl before it’s too late. Beautifully acted and directed, the film serves as a harsh reminder of the realities the people in Palestine are facing daily. The film is urgent, and leaves the viewers with an empty feeling as they process the heaviness of the story. While paying great respect to Hind and her family, the film uses Hind’s voice to amplify the voices of the thousands and thousands of children that lost their lives in the genocide, and allows Hind’s voice and story to live forever in the film medium. Shocking, heart wrenching and informative, this film is a sobering watch that reminds its viewers how privileged we are to be alive.
