DePaul men’s basketball has signed sophomore guard Kahmare Holmes, the team announced Wednesday.
“We are excited to welcome Kahmare to Chicago and the DePaul basketball family,” head coach Chris Holtmann said in the release. “He has shown his growth and development in two seasons at Wofford and we believe his competitiveness and skill set will translate well as he steps into the Big East and contributes to what we are building here.”
In the 2025-26 season, Holmes averaged 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and two steals per game. He shot 48.3% from the field and played in 26 games, starting in each. He earned a selection to the All-SoCon First Team.
He scored 20 or more points in 15 games this season, including a career-high 36 points on Jan. 21 against Samford. He also scored 30 points against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 29.
With the acquisition of Holmes, the Blue Demons add high-level scoring from the guard position for the 2026-27 season. Holmes’ 19.5 points per game is higher than everyone’s average on the 2025-26 Blue Demons roster.
