Joshua M. Hicks, Assistant Sports Editor
Joshua Michael Hicks went to Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. While attending school, he was a college basketball player, Vice President of student organization Black Student Union, full-time staff reporter with the school newspaper The Torch and also was a mentor for the school’s mentoring program BMLA (Black Male Leadership Academy). He also was a part of the “Flint 8”, the group of Journalism students that covered the Water Crisis in Prof. Fountain’s Convergence class, and also covered the 2015 and 2016 NFL Drafts here at Roosevelt for The Torch newspaper and TV Broadcast RU Fire. Joshua graduated from Roosevelt University with a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism in 2016. He is currently the senior writer for WARR Media with his own personal column and podcast called “In The Scope” with Joshua M. Hicks.
