Campbell is the first five-star recruit to commit to DePaul since Dorell Wright in 2004, who opted to go straight to the NBA and did not play for DePaul. Campbell will join former La Lumiere teammates Al Eichelberger and Brandon Cyrus, as well as former La Lumiere head coach turned DePaul assistant Shane Heirman.
Campbell is also a teammate of fellow 5-star recruit Brian Bowen, who DePaul is reportedly in the mix for.
Once Campbell reclassifies the Blue Demons will have two pledges to the class of 2018 alongside John Diener. This move leaves DePaul with one scholarship open for the 2017-18 season and for the 2018-19 season.
Campbell is the second new Blue Demon of the day as Marin Maric joined DePaul as a transfer forward earlier in the day.
