Standout DePaul Blue Demon catcher and third baseman Morgan Greenwood earned a spot on the 2018 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District Softball First Team for District 5. With this designation under her belt, Greenwood is now eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team which is announced in June.

The junior owns a 3.78 GPA while majoring in health sciences at DePaul. In 48 games on the diamond this season, she’s slashed .314/.421/.533 with 27 RBIs and six home runs. She was named to the All-Big East First Team earlier this week along with teammates Pat Moore, Missy Zoch, Kate Polucha, and Megan Leyva.

The Blue Demons begin their quest for a second-straight Big East Tournament crown today at noon against Villanova. The game is in Rosemont.
