Strus grabs Big East Player of the Week honors

The conference office has named DePaul senior Max Strus as its Player of the Week. In two games, both wins for the Blue Demons, the 6-foot-6-inch forward from Hickory Hills, Ill. averaged 23 points per game on 45.7 percent from the field while hauling in nine rebounds per game as well. He was the Blue Demon’s leading scorer in both contests.

Through three games, Strus leads the Big East Conference in scoring (23.7 points per game), and that output is good enough for 19th highest in the nation as well. He is the Blue Demon’s first Player of the Week honoree since Draelon Burns in December 2007.
