Electronica Weekly: Joachim Garraud and Clockwork

Emotion, energy, and killer synths describe a small part of this banger track! Featured in Diplo’s Holy Ship 2013 Beach Set, this song instantly pumps you up. The drum patterns, in combination with the synths, create an extravaganza of high-intensity sounds.

The original producer of the track, Joachim Garraud, is a very well-known producer in the electronic world. He’s played many shows at the Mid in Chicago, and his production work never ceases to amaze. The French producer is famous for his track “We Are The Future,” which is one of his signature pieces.

Nonetheless, the following track was remixed by Clockwork. The Los Angeles producer analyzed Garraud’s track, and interpreted it in his own musical style. He clearly added his own drum pattern, along with the use of the bass synth in the breakdown. This up and coming producer was recently signed in Steve Aoki’s label, Dim Mak. As a result we can expect nothing less than banging bass, and energetic synthesis of sound from his next productions. His ecstatic performances should guarantee a good show, so hopefully he will get the chance to mix locally in Chicago.
