The 10 committees that form the Board of Trustees work to achieve the goals laid out in DePaul’s Plan for Academic Enhancement, known as VISION Twenªty12. Established in 2006 after a unanimous vote from the board, VISION Twenty12 laid out the goals of the university for the next six years. DePaul aims to become “a university whose enerªgies are focused on creating nationally recognized, acªademically rigorous programs of study for students,” and making “an extraordinary education accessible to a diverse student population.”

Specifically, the program aims to create socially responsible citizens and leaders, become a “model of diversity” for universities, increase enrollment and “further institutionalize” the Vincentian and Catholic identity of the school, all while creating a “financially sound university that will serve generations to come.” In other words, VISION Twenty12 is the roadmap to greater success that DePaul University plans to follow and all decision made by the Board of Trustees are proposed and decided upon with these goals in mind.
